Gonna continue with my second post on korean street food

This is to share my bad experience on korean food

definitely not all korean restaurant provide AWESOME food

This round of korean food is at Dubu-Dubu, Mid Valley

and the experience is terribly bad

I tried their jigae cause they have some cute recipe to enjoy the jigae

and they offer few level of spiciness 

in case you're the mild lil lady

as for me the wild type, I took the top spicy level jigae

they also have chicken and beef broth if some of you doesn't take beef

plus point for them

Service side

lots of customers and service was slow, so you can imagine how slow the foods are served

Time for some food show

I like the purple rice as it look much more appetizing 

(Ko Hyang Korean Country Delights has the same rice too, gonna review that next time)

The jigae come with the purple rice and 3 side dishes

Big bean sprouts, kim chi and french bean (depends on that day varieties)

Their kim chi is not bad too, kinda like it

Look at my happy unhappy face

the first sip I drink that jigae,

feel like drinking plain water ah! no saltiness, no spicyness and nothing

I ordered beef top level spicy jigae and it was so so disappointing.

I don't know it is because of many customers or I'm unlucky

or the chef just forgot to add salt?

the whole food journey, I have to ask for soy sauce and dip everything in soy sauce

it became soy sauce jigae

Oh, before I forget

even the aloe drinks I ordered also taste so bland

forget the sugar maybe??

I love korean street food!!

Toppokki, bibimbap, kimbap, or jjigae

So this post is kinda of the korean street food review that I tried before
good and bad~

Let's start with something good

This is a chicken bibimbap from Bulgogi Brothers, which is from the same family of Italiannies, TGI Friday's and Watami

As you know, BB (Bulgogi Brothers not Big Bang) is more on the exclusive restaurant type

so the bibimbap definitely has more ingredients and toppings.

So more ingredients mean higher price too

but the price is worth to pay for me

They even have an after-meal drink for you

Plum tea juice which good for digestion and service is good

 (they provide you place to keep your haul of the day)

I would say their jjigae or korean stew is the best I had till now!!

the taste is thick and spicy enough which make you couldn't stop drinking compared to those watery soup out there..chinese says "watery like your pee pee"

But they have limited choices on the snack food, more on the BBQ meat

and one very veryy verrryy important point would be the kimchi!!

A lil disappointed with their kimchi, it was those commercial kimchi

where you can buy from Jusco or Carrefour

I prefer those with more homemade taste XD

but their jjigaae really would make up the blah~ kimchi

a lil pricey, service good and food is not bad too

would love to try their grilled meat next time

Addicted with Smartphone

My time of bad habits would be biting on your nails or watching tv and not eating dinner

but the most serious bad habits to kids nowadays is addicted to smart phone

and I'm part of the "kids" group too

so I am part of this bad habit now

I slowly found out (which I think it been happen for quite long)

I am really addicted to my phone

I should start calling my phone darling or baby soon

he can be my part-time BF for now

Some more with all the apps, he totally can be the perfect BF

he is a plastic surgeon which can make me pretty with all the skin softening skills

he can tweet with you 24/7 non-stop without making you bored

he make you happy when you sees the number of likes in Instagram

and obviously he don't mind if you chat with other girls in Wechat

and he won't cheat on you of course!

and my good BF been affecting me in the office

I love you so much that I can't leave him alone for too long

and not only me, almost all of my colleagues is playing working with their phone too

we really work, cause we need to Whatapps with our colleagues in store

any automatically the naughty fingers will linger on other buttons

and the feeling of getting caught by your boss of doing other things than work

is so so bad..

like a kid stealing a candy

not like I'm playing candy crush there, instagram maybe...

definitely not something easy to achieve

need some determination

maybe finish certain works then only can keep in touch with my lovely phone

or every hours once

definitely a hardcore habits that need to be kick away..

but who is not addicted to love~

you're purely for entertainment purposes, boyfie

no more office hours~

If I am someone else?

How do you feel if you are not who you really are today?

I always want to be someone else

Someone prettier maybe, someone more famous maybe

or just a simple one who got married now and having a 2 years old kid?

They say there is an option where you always can choose to become who you are

to me, that is partly true only

I always complain with my eomma

"why you never let me go study music one??"

who know I gonna be singer, musician or at least part time can teach music class

because they choose not to waste that kind of time bringing me to classes

so here I am today, music-blind.haha

here, I might be a rocker who play electric guitar like Wang Leehom 

(he is my second secret lover)

or maybe my eomma bring me to ballet classes

I'll be wearing tutu and watching swan lake now

and I'll be healthier and slimmer if I dance more

*shake my booty

What if my Appa is richer and he will just buy what I want?

DSLR, polaroid, lomo cam or the whole shopping mall

I could be a top photographer and get invited to ANTM to be their special shooting

I could help you take free facebook profile pictures that got more likes than a beauty pageant

No matter how I wanna be someone else in my life

I am grateful that I does not turn to someone I don't want to be

I am not a spoilt brat or a nasty bitch that you watch in ANTM

I don't have cat fight with my friends, but I am not bad in it too

haha

Getting more "mature" now, so if I really want to be a musician

I could pay my own money and learn

Learned dancing in my uni time

and try to learn more that what I am not capable of previously

and I still wish there is a potion who can makes you 

try putting on someone else's shoes

To look the world through their eyes

1 Malaysia Proven

This term got famous when our latest PM was appointed

1 Malaysia which is a concept to foster unity among the multi-ethnic in Malaysia

Lots of people doesn't believe in this based on the

Equality

Ethnicity

Economically 

and 

Entire concept of it.

But I always believe that the friendship among the ethnics in Malaysia

is always there

Personally I come from a Malay school since primary

I have multi-races friend which some 

I can call them as my best friends

We share the same childhood memories

We share the same food in canteen last times

and now we share the same jokes when we meet

Recently I meet back with some classmates of other ethnics

and I feel we're even closer than someone that haven't meet for 7 years

They are uber funny and friendly like the seven years ago

My friends even joke we can start the interracial dating

muahahaha~ sorry Arvint, cannot kopi susu leh (a joke that only we can understand)

Funniest is, one of the sales advisor thought we are dating

Situation in a clothing store

Arvint: I have to help Pui Lan to choose her clothes, she helped just now
Me: Arvint, ini baju cantik?

Arvint: (took another sheer top) Ini baju macam ni, baik jangan pakai

Sales advisor: (open mouth big big) ahh.. Tak dengar, tak dengar (thinking that Arvint ask me not to wear anything)
Me:  what!
We all: Run away in laughter!

It make me feel good that when I have friends who trully appreciate friendship

Everyone has difference way of talking, working and portraying themselves

you might like some of it

you might hate some of it

you might agree a bit of it

you might want to stay away from it

but you can't choose your friend based on their skin colour or their ethnicity

I welcome anyone who appreciate friendship to be my friend.

If I can get along with you then you are my friend no matter what is your race

I do not need any propaganda, advertisement or videos to show me how to be 1 Malaysia

because it is a basic value in human that we should

To accept one difference and appreciate humans

My little friendship over here

proved that friendship among multi-ethnics does exists

Don't be so racist can anot ah?? haha

Ipoh finally catching up with more infamous food franchise that KL people will say

and I have not try Seoul Garden at KL before

Book table for 7, service so far so good

We have X'mas exchange after so many years graduating

There are more guys than gals, that was really something that would make you scratch head (hard)

What can you buy for guys??

Book = kill me before they kill me

Gadgets = should buy for myself first

Innerwear = yayaya, funny..

I just have to cross out many many ideas

btw, that was the first gifts to be draw, all our gifts are line at the back

My advise, draw the person you should prepare the gifts first
It will be much more easier to know the gender and preferences of your gift's receiver
buying gift for guys are tough!! that is why you can see all water bottle, tumbler and cup here
haha


Back to our food session
basically it is just like normal BBQ steamboat + a plate of kimchi
Kimchi soup taste like chili powdered soup (can't even taste kimchi even we ask for extra spicy kimchi)


Food is so and so, lots of marinated meat, vege and fried snacks
Extra charge has to be paid for the drinks (3 choices only, green tea or mango and some hot drinks)
Don't really feel worth the money but it is a good gathering place for you to eat non-stop
want to go? choose weekdays which is cheaper
and no need order drinks cause you still can eat the ice-kacang and ice-cream
ice melted = ice drinks

Zombie Apocalypse (a crazy story in the ending)

I believe everyone know about the famous 

"Zombie Apocalypse"

thanks to Resident Evil, Zombieland, 28 Days Later and many many more

Last year there even a case on zombie appearing at Miami

A man is reported on eating another man face, which really make me think is that because of the 2012 world end thingie?

Should I just stock up more chicken brain at home so in case my housemate turn into a zombie??

LOL~

Zombie is not one of my favourite genre (I watch Resident Evil, okay)

reason: it make my skin look bad after I die

so better be vampire, youth is all preserved 

after all the zombie trend finally zombie arrived in Malaysia (put on sunblock if you want your rotten skin to rot slower, ZOMBIE!!)

Wait, what do I mean that it has arrived Malaysia??

Don't worry, you still got time to stock up your chicken brain

cause we only have Zombie Run here

honestly, I don't know who is the organiser but it definitely something fun to join

especially we have too much shopping mall moments

You would have to join in group for the game but the main purpose I'm writing this is

Zombie Run Volunteer (click link here to volunteer)

I came across this activity from Youths Today

You could volunteer to help out in the event, probably acting as a zombie??

of help out in the game

What could be more thrilling in watching zombie live in act eating the contestants brains??

Don't worry, no violence elements will be involved in the game

Zombie is only allowed to take the contestant's health straps

Above was written before I get the full details of the event and so excited for this event
I volunteered to help out for this event and prepared to blog this to my friends so they can join too
but sadly I don't get any feedback or information on the event at all
and I got treated like no one
so I decided not to join anymore

Why I say so:
1. I FB message the organiser or the Zombie Run facebook page, which the ask to contact XXX for further details (I even stated all my queries there) and my call are not answered. They don't even answer one of my questions there =(
2. Youths Todays, didn't put in any information  for the volunteer task or any confirmation email
3. I expect at least there will be some details to be sent to volunteer to brief them on the event

Surprise:
Jazz from Youth Todays, did message me on the last day before the event ( I appreciate that effort) and expect me to come or get someone to replace me. I explain the problems I face to her and she mentioned that we have to go to the event directly to get more info and that the function of Youths Today website.

My Concern:
The event start at 6am, I don't possess any transport so I already prepared to go with taxi if I volunteered. Which also mean I have to at 5.30am in the morning. You think taxi free meh?? haha...
Sadly, without any information I don't know what I should bring, wear or even the task I will be doing there for the 12 hours event.
Maybe I go wearing a long kimono how? not zombie but become a japanese ghost
 How am I gonna participate if there is so many concern. I am a damn paranoid blood type A

My mistake:
I am not blaming anyone's fault here so I admit I make a mistake of not un-volunteering the task in Youths Today. I believe they could reduce much more miscommunication if the organiser and volunteer website could provide more information as I did my part in getting the info

Anyways, I am happy that Jazz accepted my feedback as I really feel this event is awesome and I miss out this chance to participate.
Hope you guys can improve in the futures and there are more interesting events to join in the future
